Built on the familiar NBV hive record
The digital hive record uses the Dutch Beekeepers Association NBV record as a familiar foundation. Temperament, queen, boxes, occupied brood and honey frames, brood in all stages, swarm cells, feed, pollen and mite fall each have a clear place. For mite fall you can record both a category and the actual count.
From inspection to seasonal insight
Each colony receives an automatic seasonal summary with current points of attention. Charts show brood frames, honey frames, boxes and counted mites over time. Treatment periods appear alongside mite development, while the seasonal timeline combines inspections, treatments, threat control and queen events.
Inspect on your phone, even without coverage
The inspection form is designed for use at the hive. Recent values act as a reference, weather can be filled automatically and drafts also retain the weather. In offline field mode you can finish without a connection; Aristaios sends the inspection automatically when coverage returns.
Add up to three useful photos per inspection. Jpg, png, webp and HEIC are supported up to 10 MB per photo; HEIC is safely converted to jpg.
Follow-up for one or several hives
Actions, treatments, notes and threat control each have their own place. A registration can be saved for several hives at the same apiary in one step. Deadlines and follow-up checks can trigger an email reminder.
Record pests and other threats separately
Threat control is separate from treatments of the colony. Record Asian hornets, wasps, wax moths, ants, mice or another threat with status, observation, measure, result and an optional follow-up date. Active threats remain visible on the hive overview.
Open the right hive outdoors
Each hive can have its own QR code. Scan the label and, after secure sign-in, open the correct hive record immediately. Shared access uses a separate account for every beekeeper and does not raise the limit of 10 apiaries and 10 hives.
Review and export the history
Inspection history remains available per season. The timeline links directly to the relevant inspection, treatment or threat record. Download inspections as CSV for your own analysis or export a season as a completed NBV hive record.
Free and without obligations
The digital hive record is free, with no subscription or payment details. Data remains private and tied to the account. A beekeeper account can safely change its email address or permanently remove all associated data. The secure hive-record interface itself is currently offered in Dutch.
