From inspection to seasonal overview

Digital hive record

Record what you observe at the hive and keep a calm, useful history for every colony. No loose papers, with the complete record always within reach.

One reliable place for every hive

The digital hive record brings apiaries, hives and colonies together in one secure environment. For each hive you can save recognisable details such as hive type, number of boxes, colony origin and queen information. A hive photo makes the overview easy to recognise outdoors as well.

During an inspection you record only what you have actually observed. Practical fields cover behaviour, occupied brood and honey frames, brood in all stages, swarm cells, food stores, pollen and mite fall. Weather can be entered manually or retrieved automatically after adding your own Weerlive code and location to your account. Brief seasonal guidance helps place observations in context without replacing the beekeeper’s judgement.

From observation to overview

The latest inspection appears directly with the hive. The complete history remains available by season and is divided into manageable pages. You can create actions with deadlines, request an email reminder and complete a task directly. Treatments and free notes have their own place, keeping inspection records factual and easy to review.

At the end of a season, inspections can be exported in the format of a completed NBV hive record. This preserves the familiar annual overview while daily recording remains digital.

Open the correct hive outdoors

Every hive receives its own QR code. Attach it to the hive and scan it with your phone to open the correct record immediately after signing in. There is no need to search through apiaries and hive lists outdoors. The QR code does not make your information public.

If you work with another beekeeper, you can invite that person to your apiary from your account. After acceptance, each person uses an individual login while working with the same apiaries, hives, inspections and actions. Personal login details and account settings are not shared.

Private, personal and manageable

Hive information is private and tied to an account. A user can see only their own apiary and apiaries for which an invitation has been accepted. Signing in is possible with a verified email address and password or with a linked Google account.

Each apiary can register up to 10 apiary sites and 10 hives. Within that scale, inspections, actions, treatments and notes can be used normally. Existing information remains available when a limit is reached, but no additional site or hive can be added. If a larger operation needs more capacity, please use the contact page.

The secure hive record is currently offered in Dutch. To begin, you can create a beekeeper account.
